If you’ve ever seen someone else buy a train ticket for the exact same journey as you but pay less because they had a Railcard you might have been left wondering ‘what is a Railcard?’ and ‘how can I get one?’ It doesn’t matter if you’re going for a night out or heading somewhere nice for the weekend, no one likes to pay more than they have to.
The Railcards available include:
Devon and Cornwall Railcard
Senior Railcard
16-25 Railcard
Family & Friends Railcard
Two Together Railcard
Disabled Persons Railcard
The Devon & Cornwall Railcard residents of Devon and Cornwall one-third off most Standard Class Off-Peak and Off-Peak Day train tickets across Devon and Cornwall.
Discounted tickets can be used for travel on Great Western Railway, South Western Railway and CrossCountry services.
One accompanying adult also receives one-third off their ticket and you can take up to four accompanying children (aged 5-15) for a flat fare of £1 each (£2 for Day Ranger tickets).
